I am strangely fascinated by half finished pictures. I love the way that in amongst all the rough sketching there is a section of shaded, finished 3D image and it makes me think pencils are amazing.
So! I decided to host a Half Finished Contest!
The aim:
-the final piece must only be half finished, for example a girl in a dress where only the dress is finished and shaded and the girl is still sketch, or the girl is finished and the dress is sketched.
-But I don't want WIPs, I want pictures that look intentionally unfinished.
-It must be in a traditional medium.
Since this is the contest for PencilsPlusArtists I doubt it'll be particularly big, so the prizes will only be small.
1st Place: 3 Months Premium Membership
2nd Place: 600 points
3rd Place: 200 points
All of these will also recieve a llama badge and a feature on my page.
Send me a link to your picture or post it to the Competition folder here at PencilsPlusArtists. Feel free to ask any questions you'd like.

Contest Postponed.
It is past the deadline for the Children Contest, but unfortunately I currently have a very broken laptop and no means of getting on the internet for a while, so the contest will be postponed until the end of April.
If you wanted to have a go but didn't have time then here's your second chance!
This also means I wont be updating the featured folder or adding favourites until my laptop is fixed so if I ignore questions, requests or just great artwork, please don't be offended.

We're having a new contest here on PencilsPlusArtists and the theme - as suggested by ~Jellyneau (https://www.deviantart.com/jellyneau) will be 'Children'.
The rules are:
- It has to be a picture of a child. Though that can range from a baby, to a toddler, to an older child.
- It can be a child of any species at all, so you're not restricted to humans.
- The picture must be in a pencil based media - the club is PencilsPlusArtists after all!

KiaraJoy's Inspirations Artbook
Some of you may have already come across this, but ~KiaraJoy (https://www.deviantart.com/kiarajoy) is putting together a charity artbook, the proceeds of this book will go towards sending packs of Crayola art supplied to children for Christmas 2013. As it is a charity, top priority will go to children from low income families, who have been signed up by someone who wants them to stay creative!

Hi there, I'm pretty new to this site so barely got my bearings yet, but noticed this prize comp, not really bothered about the prizes just wanted to say I completely understand the fascination with unfinished work, I think with some it makes a much more interesting picture than it does when finished.
I might see what I have in my stack of unfinished work and see if anything might be fit to add to your entries, you might have to let me know exactly how to go about it as I'm completely useless with computers, cheers and best of luck with the comp, Mike.
